Throughout my 13 year struggle with Chronic Lyme Disease, my faith has definitely been tested. In the very beginning when I was still trying to figure out what was wrong with me, I thought I was losing my mind and wondered where God was in all of this. I would at times wonder why this was happening to me. Even though I had lots of questions that I felt like were not being answered, I continued to believe that God was and is in control and would see me through. Some days were harder than others as I went from doctor to doctor trying to get some relief only to be turned away or misdiagnosed.
Over the years, God has shown me that he has never left me and he wants the best for me. Jeremiah 29 reminds us of God’s promise to us “For I know the plans I have for you’ declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future.” I choose to stand on this promise and know that one day I will be healed in Jesus’ name.
My faith remains strong and I will trust in the Lord to see me through. I know that whatever I may face now or in the future that God has my back. I strongly encourage you to find a local, bible based church where you can get connected to other believers and stay encouraged. If you live in the Austin, TX area, I invite you to Summit Worship Center-Pastors Eric and Andrea Moore. For more information please visit, summitworshipcenter.org
